Need a gift for a co-worker? Or want to enhance your mood while at your workstation? Well, the "positive cube" may be something to consider!
Created less than one year ago by two entrepreneurs from Montreal, the brand Bangarang has a mission to make the world a better place by creating, sharing, and promoting positivity in all forms. It's most popular product is the "positive cube," which is a wooden box containing 199 cards of positive actions and quotes. In fact, this product was even chosen to be included in the official gift bags distributed to presenters and performers at the Grammy Awards on February 12th, and to the top Oscar nominees on February 26th of this year. Talk about celebrity status!
Besides the glamour, a portion of all proceeds generated by Bangarang is donated to various causes and organizations such as Save the Children, a non-for-profit charitable organization whose work saves and improves the lives of children who are in danger, exploited, dehumanized and denied access to basic necessities.
A MESSAGE OF POSITIVITY
When we focus on negative thoughts and pathology that dominates so much of psychology today, this results in a model of the human being lacking the positive features that make life worth living (Seligman & Csikszentmihalyi, 2014). Contrarily, we need to start tuning into our inner impulses of hope, wisdom, creativity, future mindedness, courage, spirituality, responsibility, perseverance, and so forth. With this approach of positivity, embraced by innovative concepts such as "the positive cube," we can begin to awaken our inner super-hero. We can change our world, and the world around us for the better.
